Claire Sandler has been studying dance since the age of 4, and nothing fills her with more joy than moving through space. She feels fortunate to have been on the faculty of Children’s Dance Workshop & Michiana Dance Ensemble for the past 20 years, teaching and choreographing modern dance and ballet.

As a dancer Claire trained and performed at Madison School of Ballet, University of Wisconsin, and Zenon Dance, among others. She’s also danced for Walker Art Center, Phipps Center for the Arts, Normandale Theater, and Madison Civic Center. Previous choreography has been shared at Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Fest(RADFest), “Corpse Song” music video for the band Paper Cameras, Art Beat, South Bend Civic Theatre, Brave Hearts Theater, Madison West & John Adams High Schools, The Performing Arts Center, and Madison School of Ballet.

Claire has been a member of UZIMA! since 2023, and treasures sharing dance and life with her UZIMA! family, creating this joyful and important work. She is forever grateful for the love, support, and understanding of her favorite people: Michael, Rowan, and Fiona, all talented performers themselves.
